For more than 37 years, Andreas Wittkamm represented WAB very successfully on the German market and led Willy A. Bachofen GmbH as Managing Director for 21 years. He has now decided to step down from his management position and will take his well-deserved retirement at the end of March 2023. As of January 1, 2023, Henryk Sommer has taken over the management of Willy A. Bachofen GmbH in Nidderau as Managing Director.

Andreas Wittkamm was initially employed as a sales engineer and was the driving force behind the market penetration of the DYNO-MILL series on the German market. With the foundation of the German subsidiary in 2000 by the WAB-GROUP Andreas Wittkamm took over the management of the company. As a result, Willy A. Bachofen GmbH continued to develop and became a leading supplier in dispersion and wet grinding technology as well as mixing technology.

Henryk Sommer is a proven industry expert. He has a degree in mechanical engineering and has successfully completed further training as an international welding technician. He has extensive experience in sales and service of high technology capital equipment. Henryk Sommer joined the WAB-GROUP in 2022, has acquired intensive knowledge of grinding and mixing technology and is now looking forward to the new task: "Germany is accelerating the transformation to a greener, sustainable and high-tech economy. We as WAB-GROUP want to support our customers on this path of transformation into the future in the best possible way with high-quality, innovative products and the best services."
