Data, purpose of processing and legal basis

Client data or supplier data is the data that we require to ensure the execution of a contract. We store such data if and insofar as this is necessary for the purpose of contract processing, to ensure technical operational security and for invoicing and debt collection, or to carry out pre-contractual measures. As a rule, the following data is collected, for example Surname, first name, address, e-mail address, contact person, telephone number and language. They may vary depending on the service used.

Furthermore, we process the data that is generated in the context of the use of the website (www.wab-group.com including any country versions, domain or subdomain variants) or the data that is provided in this context. The data processing is carried out to analyze the Internet traffic on our website and to improve the functionality of our website. The processing of the data is necessary to protect our legitimate interests.

Consequently, we also use personal data that is required for a complete application and its processing. As a rule, the following data is collected: surname, first name, addresses, language, e-mail address, information from the CV and other documents (e.g. certificates). We use the applicant data for the purpose of the application process. In principle, the applicant data will not be used for any other purpose.

Any further use of the data will only take place with the additional information and consent of the person concerned or the supplier.

Use of cookies for functional purposes

When using the website, personal data may be collected by means of cookies and Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Web Font. Personal data is also collected when you contact us by e-mail.

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

Cookies

We use "cookies" and similar technologies on our websites to identify your browser or device. A cookie is a small file that is sent to your computer or automatically stored on your computer or mobile device by the web browser you use when you visit our website. In addition to cookies that are only used during a session and are deleted after your website visit ("session cookies"), cookies can also be used to store user settings and other information for a certain period of time (e.g. two years) ("permanent cookies"). However, you can set your browser so that it rejects cookies, only stores them for one session or otherwise deletes them prematurely. Most browsers are preset to accept cookies. We use permanent cookies so that we can better understand how you use our offers and content.

However, you can configure your browser settings so that cookies are blocked or you are warned when cookies are sent to your computer. If you deactivate the receipt of cookies, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website (e.g. language selection).

Tracking and other technologies in connection with the use of our website

We also use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager on our websites. This is a third-party service with which we can analyze the use of the website (non-personal) Exhibitions and evaluate it. Permanent cookies set by the service provider are also used for this purpose. The service provider does not receive any personal data from us (and does not store any IP addresses), but can track your use of the website, combine this information with data from other websites that you have visited and which are also tracked by the service provider, and use these findings for its own purposes (e.g. control of advertising). Google Analytics provides us with information about the number of visitors to the website, where visitors log in from and how long they stay on our website. If you have registered with the service provider yourself, the service provider also knows you. The processing of your personal data by the service provider is then the responsibility of the service provider in accordance with its data protection provisions. The service provider only informs us how our website is used (no information about you personally). You can prevent the transmission of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link.

DEACTIVATE TRACKING

This site uses so-called web fonts to display the font. These are provided by Google (http://www.google.com/webfonts/). To do this, your browser loads the required web font into your browser cache when you visit our site. This is necessary so that your browser can also display a visually improved presentation of our texts. If your browser does not support this function, a standard font from your computer will be used for display.

Third party services

We use content or service offerings from third-party providers within our online offering in order to integrate their content and services, such as fonts. This always presupposes that the third-party providers of this content are aware of the IP address of the user, as they would not be able to send the content to their browser without the IP address. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We endeavor to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content.

We also use a so-called "Content Delivery Network" (CDN), offered by Cloudflare, Inc, 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. A CDN is a service with the help of which the content of our online offer, in particular large media files such as graphics or scripts, are delivered faster with the help of regionally distributed servers connected via the Internet. User data is processed solely for the aforementioned purposes and to maintain the security and functionality of the CDN.

Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the data you provide there (e.g. first name, surname, address, e-mail address), will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. The data entered in the contact form is therefore processed exclusively on the basis of your consent.

Recipients and duration of storage

Unless expressly stated below, your data will not be passed on to third parties.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the aforementioned data will be stored for as long as necessary to provide the current service, but at least as long as required by law. Subject to the right to erasure of the data, the data may also remain stored for as long as this is deemed appropriate for the possible provision of future services or if explicit consent has been given.

Rights of the data subject

Every person has the right to information, correction of incorrect data, blocking and deletion of their data, insofar as this does not conflict with any legal obligation to retain data or the data is absolutely necessary for the fulfillment of the contract.

In addition, the data subjects have the right to object at any time to processing based on consent given or our legitimate interests.

For questions, changes, revocation and deletion, please contact the data protection officer directly:

Data Protection Officer of Willy A. Bachofen AG, address, Switzerland or at privacy@wab-group.com.

Complaints to the supervisory authority and data security

Data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if they believe that their personal data is being processed unlawfully.

We maintain up-to-date technical measures to ensure data security, in particular to protect personal data from risks during data transmission and from third parties gaining knowledge of it. These are always adapted to the current state of the art.

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time. The date of the last update is at the end of the privacy policy.
